New Directory of Legal Service Providers

Looking for ancillary and alternative legal services? Look no further!

THE BUYING LEGAL GUIDE

The Buying Legal Council announced last week the new and improved Buying Legal Guide. The Buying Legal Guide is the world's first directory of Alternative and Ancillary Legal Services Providers and is the comprehensive source of information for buyers of legal services. We've asked Simone Claudia, Director at the Buying Legal Council a few quick questions:

What is the Buying Legal Guide?

The Buying Legal Guide is the first independent guide to Alternative & Ancillary Legal Services Providers.

It is the international guide for anyone looking to purchase legal services which are either an alternative to law firm services or ancillary to them.

Whether you are Corporate Counsel, Legal Operations or Legal Procurement, there are numerous solutions available to enhance your in-house legal teams efficiency, legal spend and results -- nationally and internationally.

What was the impetus for the Buying Legal Guide?

When in-house legal teams, including legal procurement and legal operations, need to identify a lawyer or a law firm for a specific matter or challenge there are numerous guides they can turn to, but what about the emerging market for alternative and ancillary legal services?

The Buying Legal Guide is the first independent guide which is specifically dedicated to documenting and researching the alternative and ancillary legal services industry.

Today we have hundreds of alternative and ancillary legal services companies in the guide covering over 50 categories from Artificial Intelligence to Court Reporting, eDiscovery to Forensic investigations, Jury Consulting to LPO's, Paralegal Services to RFP Platforms and much more.

This is in addition to Articles and Videos on a range of subjects such as eAuctions, Compliance, and Document Automation, as well as, upcoming events for the industry.

How does it work?

It is very easy to use.

On the main menu you will find sections for Industry News, Events and Video on a range of topics.

If you are specifically looking to research companies in a specific category, such as Cyber Security, there is a search field at the top of the website which will also allow you to search by geographical location.

Or one could go to the footer of the website where all 50+ categories currently being covered are listed and just click on the area which is of interest - and this will bring up a list of business offering these services.

The Buying Legal Guide has a very easy and instinctual interface which has been designed to get you the information you are seeking with as few clicks as possible.

Does it cost anything?

All information in the guide is freely searchable - all you have to do is visit www.buyinglegal.guide!

2018 LEGAL PROCUREMENT AWARDS

The Buying Legal Council announced last week the 2018 Legal Procurement Awards.

We want to showcase the advances in legal procurement and best practices and honor those who are at the forefront of new developments,” says Buying Legal Council executive director, Dr. Silvia Hodges Silverstein.

Like last year, the goal is to identify and acknowledge the best industry initiatives in five areas of Legal Procurement: Innovation, Collaboration, Teamwork, Best Use of Technology, and Process Improvement.

The Buying Legal Council welcomes proposal submissions from legal professionals in various industries across the globe. Submissions should include a detailed description of the project: which includes everything from the project goal, strategy and implementation to the results of the project as well as budget and return on investment.

The application / nomination form is available at www.buyinglegal.com/awards.
